Qalawun's Mausoleum Dome

Pictures of the dome of the mausoleum of Sultan al-Mansur Qalawun's collection.  It is a famous archaeological architectural group in Cairo, built in the Mamluk Islamic style.  It is located on Al-Moez Street in Cairo.
The group includes a mosque, a school, a shrine dome, and a garden for treating the sick.  Its construction was ordered by Sultan Al-Mansur Saif al-Din Qalawun, one of the most prominent sultans of the Mamluk maritime era.  He founded a dynasty that ruled Egypt, the Levant, and other places for more than a century.  He began his rule himself in the year 678 AH / 1279 AD, and ended with Sultan Al-Salih Saladin Al-Hajj in the year 784 AH / 1382 AD, and he is credited with the emergence of the second Mamluk state.
